Kurrusku Panaderia

The place looks beautiful from the outside, especially because of the posters about the bakery existing for more than a 100 years and so on. However, our excitement was short-lived when we entered because of the cold reception. The owner didn't seem happy from the start and we didn't even feel welcome there. We saw some pistachio cakes and we thought they were local, so we asked the owner if there were any specialities from the city or region in the store. The lady just pointed to some old buns and proceeded to help out another family in the meantime. Please note that we spoke only in Spanish there although we might not sound native (my girlfriend speaks it at a native level although her pronunciation might not sound native). We bought some freshly baked wholegrain bread there which was quite good and the pistachio cakes which weren't great. It's a pity that we had such reception in such a lovely looking store and maybe it's a one-off, maybe the owner was just having a bad day. Nonetheless I have to be true to myself when I provide a review, hence a 3.

La mejor panadería de Castro Urdiales. Las palmeras rellenas de Nutella o Kinder están espectaculares (sobre todo las grandes) y los cruasanes de hojaldre crujientes (chocolate, chocolate blanco, café, pistacho...) están súper ricos. No recuerdo su nombre. Las dueñas además son majísimas.
