Hotel Hospes Palacio del Bailío

La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable, es un palacio muy bonito que conserva su arquitectura Antigua. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y algo anticuadas para ser un 5 estrellas, y es spa son literal tres piscinas enanas, dos de ellas con agua super fría.El desayuno espectacular.

Stunning hotel with incredible service and excellent food. We loved our stay here and would gladly stay again.We booked a great rate through a Virtuoso travel agent. That rate included an upgrade if available (we got upgraded), breakfast each morning (best food and service we've had on this two week holiday and we've stayed at 7 different hotels), and one tapas lunch for two (food was great and different from our many other tapas meal this trip).Our room was quiet, spacious, cool, and dark. We slept really well.Parking was extra and we knew that ahead of time.Where can they improve? Nobody was at the door to greet us or help us with our car. And when we departed, we faced a wait to get our car delivered to us (and yes, we had agreed a time of departure with the hotel just so the car would be ready). Maybe they are under staffed with valet/door staff? Minor issues on an otherwise flawless visit.We walked from the hotel to the main city attractions including the fabulous Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba.We hope to visit this hotel again soon.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here, but neither the service nor the room were up to the Hospes standard we experienced elsewhere.The roman baths (complete with a peek at the roman ruins) are a delightful place to chill after a long day of sightseeing, as is the bracing courtyard pool.However, our room suffered from slightly smelly plumbing. Like other guests, I'd also highlight inconsistencies in the service, and a lack of a coherent system for bags and cars at check-out.

Pongo una estrella porque no puedo poner 0. Una vergüenza!!!! Hemos llamado para hacer una reserva de 3 habitaciones (6 personas) a 2 meses vista, en el proceso de reserva, hemos perdido una habitación, porque alguien se ha adelantado, debíamos cambiar 1 de las habitaciones por nivel inferior/superior, le hemos dicho que hacíamos una consulta y a los 5 min. nos han subido el precio/habitación 130€!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Inexplicable y me parece un robo, timo, aprovechamiento, cara dura, lamentable. Nunca jamás nos interesaremos por esta cadena. Eso sí, la atención al cliente muy amable!!!

This was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our tour of 4 cities in Andalucia. The planning and interior design are quietly beautiful. The courtyard with small pool and lounge chairs gives a nice place to relax and the other half of the patio serves food and drink. We had a small lovely tapas lunch in the patio when we arrived. The dining room floor is glass.exposing the well preserved Roman ruins below.

The hotel itself is beautiful, great interior decor and architecture. The breakfast room has a clear floor with Roman ruins below. The rooms are spacious and the hotel itself is well air conditioned. A beautiful atmosphere. There is a very nice infinity pool with lounge area outside and Roman baths that guests can reserve for an hour at a time at no cost. The hotel is located a 20 minute winding walk from the city, in a quiet area, so consider this distance when booking.However, the food is mediocre at best, both the patio menu and the breakfast, for the price point of this kind of hotel. Our check-in also left room for improvement - we noticed other guests get a glass of complimentary cava and a tour of the property while we got neither of these. We also were not told about the Roman baths and found out about this ourselves. The pool also does not restrict small children, which while not the hotel’s fault, disturbed guests.
