What a horrible experience from start to finish.I was looking to remove my acrylic nail set as one of my nails was coming off and becoming sore. I didn’t want to put any new set or polish on my nails because they needed a break so they could recover again. I was told the removal would be €10. I was in a bit of a hurry so I asked how long it would take and was told it would be 30 minutes, so I came inside. This had to be the most painful removal I’ve ever had. I winced many times and pulled my nail away but she just continued holding that electric file down on my nail for way too long until it would burn. She kept saying they couldn’t remove the full acrylic off of my nail and that I should just get gel put on. I kept saying I didn’t want gel or anything else I just simply wanted a removal because my one nail was already sore and I wanted it to heel. Another women comes over (who seemed to be the owner) and also starts saying that the best option would be for me to get gel put on top even after I explained my nail was already sore. After going back and forth over and over again about me not wanting the gel, I finally give up and say ok. The 30 minutes soon turns into almost 3 hours… The fact that she was unable to fully remove the acrylic was shocking. I’ve never gone to a nail salon and had anyone say that to me before. I think the gel set was a way for them to make more money even though they were aware of my damaged nail already and shouldn’t have been telling me to get a new gel set.When she finally finished I was happy to just get out of there. I go to pay and the €10 turned into €80. I was in disbelief. If I wanted to pay €80 I would’ve just had an acrylic fill. I didn’t even want the gel but they were so pushy about it. I threw a fuss and said I originally came in for a removal for €10 and was told it would be 30 minutes and now it’s turned into 3 hours and €80. I ended up paying €50 in the end which I still thought was overpriced.My finger that was sore ends up becoming extremely sore as the day goes on. The next day it becomes more painful and I think maybe it will get better. It becomes even worse to the point I cannot have it make contact with anything. The skin around it starts bruising and becoming purple and very swollen. It was in so much pain one night that I had to take a sleeping pill to forget about the pain. My finger was throbbing and had its own pulse in it. Putting a new gel set on top of a nail that is already sore is something you should never promote. Especially as a nail aesthetician.I ended up going back the next morning and asking them to remove the gel on the sore finger. The removal was so painful and she was so rough again with my finger even though it was obvious it was damaged and in so much pain. When she finally gets the gel and acrylic off, my nail is so bruised. Yellow puss starts coming out of the middle of my nail. She tells me I need to go to the pharmacy and buy antibiotics because it’s infected. Which was completely caused by them not listening to me and my concern about my nail. I walked around for 3 days in excruciating pain on my nail and then ended up getting an infection. The two women asked me how long I had my acrylic set on for, as if that was the reason I now had an infection. They didn’t seem to care to take any responsibility for the situation and just brushed it off like they did nothing wrong. The two women then direct me to the pharmacy up the street which wasn’t even opened.Overall the experience from start to finish was by far the worst I’ve ever had. I’m traumatized to get my nails done again after this. My nail is now completely ruined and will take months to grow back properly which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.I’ve attached a video of my nail pussing yellow liquid so people can see how bad the infection really was.Do yourself a favour and AVOID this place!!!
