Cassandra and I attend the language school for Spanish. fantastic group of students and we have had excellent tutors. lessons are fun and I have learned a lot in a short period of time. Strongly recommended.

Como alumno de esta academia, la recomiendo a cualquier persona interesada en aprender idiomas o practicar bellas artes. Preparan bien las clases y los ejercicios. Son clases divertidas y además con buena dinámica de grupo.Antonio Castaño Romero

A review by Tessa Oxley.I am a keen advocate of the N.1 Language School in Puerto Pollensa.I have been taking Spanish lessons since last year and it has really helped me understand and be understood. The groups are small and it is fun as well as educational.I take part in Art Therapy classes which are fantastic. If you enjoy Art and want to relax in a calm and serene atmosphere whilst learning to develop various art techniques then this is a class not to be missed.

Nuestros tres hijos de 9, 7 y 4 años comenzaron el curso 2020/2021 en la academia N. 1 Language School & Arts . Nuestra experiencia en la academia ha sido y sigue siendo excelente. El profesorado, está altamente cualificado e imparte unas clases interactivas y digitales muy dinámicas, prácticas y de gran utilidad, ademas los grupos reducidos contribuyen enormemente al aprendizaje y al contacto directo con el profesor. Es altamente destacable que al tiempo es centro oficial de exámenes TRINITY , que da mucha importancia a la comunicación oral. Es notable el nivel adquirido por nuestros tres hijos en el conocimiento del inglés. Totalmente recomendable.Ana y Veri

I would not recommend this school for any adults looking to learn Spanish in an immersive environment or at an accelerated pace.Classes are structured at a leisurely pace and almost all instruction is given by reviewing homework, instead of introducing new topics through speaking, writing, or listening exercises. While this isn't outrightly terrible, I did feel misled by the school director about the level of the course I was joining and would not have signed up had I known it would move so slowly. On my first day, I was told to buy the intermediate textbook since the class was going to finish the beginner version by the end of the week. 4 weeks later, they were still using the same book and I had not learned anything I didn't already know.I do not agree with how the school is operated. Classes are schedule back-to-back (ie. 9-10am, 10am-11am) which leaves no wiggle room for students to enter the classroom and greet their teacher or ask questions about homework before leaving without cutting into the time of the next class. Over 4 weeks, the majority of my 1-hour classes were actually 40-minutes (or less) of real, unhindered instruction. These natural disruptions could have been easily fixed with a 5-10 minute break added to the schedule.When other students and myself (all adults ranging from mid-20s to mid-40s) addressed these concerns with the school director, Amanda, it felt like there was no willingness to listen or make improvements. I found her communication style to be quite immature and unreceptive. I even saw her get into a screaming match with another student because of his negative feedback on the class scheduling. Additionally, she is quite inflexible when it comes to the accounting for rescheduling classes and it put a bad taste in my mouth, feeling like I was being taken advantage of when not getting much in return. Many students and myself discussed that it would be a questionable decision to re-enroll for the next month due to these poor practices and interactions.While I did not get what I expected out of this course, I did want to take a moment to speak highly of Luciana, our teacher. Her personality was simply delightful and she was full of positivity and patience.I would recommend N1 for children or students with very elementary knowledge of learning a new language. However, if you are looking for a fast-paced, immersive language school, it would be best to look elsewhere.For reference, I attended this school in May/June of 2023. Amanda's inability to openly receive critical feedback and make appropriate changes is what has led me to write this review. I only hope that this advice is taken seriously by her in order to have a more successful business moving forward.
