I arrived in Madrid on a Sunday, with my husband and two cats. By that point, we had already been living in a hotel for eight days after our property in the US had sold, and so we wanted to get into a new place fairly quickly.Based on conversations with others who had shopped for property for sale or rent in Spain, we knew it could be a time consuming process. So, we opted to contact Moving2Madrid to help us. We spoke with Brian before we left the US, and over our first two days, we were engaged in a back and forth about which properties on the market appealed to us.By Wednesday, we were seeing a number of apartments that Brian had scheduled for us, based on our parameters (size, price, location etc).We saw around 12 places over three days our first week, and in the process, adjusted our parameters. Brian responded immediately to the changes, and over the next few days, we saw more and more places to our liking.After four full days of showings, we ended up with several apartments that we loved – three amazing choices. We would have been very happy in any one of them.After we settled on one, Brian joined us at a Spanish bank to establish an account, he advised us on the contract, he joined us at the settlement table, and he helped us in setting up our internet and mobile phone service.I was a real estate agent in Washington, DC for many years. I know good real estate service when I see it, and I can tell you that Moving2Madrid is absolutely top notch.Brian is very smart, very friendly, speaks fluent English, Spanish, and French (at least), and will work very hard on your behalf. We highly recommend Brian and Moving2Madrid.

Positive points:- We had one person drive us around the city that day, which was fine.- She negotiated the non-payment insurance to split it between the owner and us, and the rental price was lowered.Negative points:- Initial communication was in English, but her English is not good enough as our Spanish, so we switched directly.- The communication was of inferior quality. She would send us long voice notes (over five minutes) to answer messages that she could have just as well written. She does not answer or return calls. She even sent us screenshots and forwarded messages without explanation.- The apartments she suggested was either way out of our budget or just terrible, the initial deal was that she also had connections" from her years of experience

Moving2Madrid did a great job at supporting my search for an apartment in Madrid. They took care of everything, from the definition and refinement of my needs to the selection of properties for viewing and the final closing (they also have partners that can refurbish and rent your flat). Their services are extremely useful for expats like me as I only had to come once to Madrid to view 10-15 apartments and then select one. The whole process was then conducted remotely with Ben and his team taking good care of everything.

My husband and arrived about a year ago and used Moving2Madrid to find an apartment. Their service was invaluable, as we had little knowledge of the city and were bringing our two small dogs along. Our agent educated us on how to set up a bank account and arranged for 8 or 9 viewings of apartments. After we chose one, he negotiated a discount on rent and attended the lease signing with us. Since then, my follow up questions about life here in Spain have been answered by their great blog or in person. I appreciate and trust their service and recommend this team.
