I can't do anything but brag about this school! In the reception you are met with the biggest smile and interest in helping you with whatever you need. The teachers are very professional, but they also take interest in knowing who you are as a person - and they do so by putting together tons of social (and learning) activities. The school building looks like a beautiful house and it has all the facilities you could think of. I started at beginner level, stayed here for 3 months and I left with a Spanish level which only needed some real life practice to be perfect". In the end I just wanna thank everybody who works at Linguaschools Valencia for making the stay so amazing!!"

I had a wonderful experience at Linguaschools Valencia in June 2015. I came to Spain with a plan of traveling extensively throughout the country, but fate had other plans. I broke my foot upon arrival in the Madrid airport and was forced to change my plans completely. I took the train to Valencia, the home of my daughter-in-law's family, and decided to 'stay off my foot' by going to language school. I've studied Spanish for years, but it all seemed to come together in Valencia. The school was wonderful in accommodating my start date, gave me a placement test before arriving, and I was immediately immersed in the most interactive, multi-national, enthusiastic language experience I could imagine. My teacher, Blanca, was so engaging, that the time just flew by! If it weren't for the broken foot, I would have stayed all summer! In fact, I plan to return in 2016 and continue my studies! Highly recommend!

I only was at Linguaschools Valencia for a week, which was a way too short time! The location of the school is amazing, in the heart of beautiful Valencia, but still in a very quiet environment. Because I was there in summer the school was very crowded, but the people there managed it all perfectly so that I never had the feeling it was that busy.I would really recommend Linguaschools Valencia as the perfect place to learn some Spanish. (And besides that, the city itself is lovely as well)

I came to this school in July and it was unfortunately a huge waste of money and time.As an example, on the first day of class, the school had no record of me completing my level test. I then had to wait for over an hour while they sorted out the administration and was eventually sent (half an hour late) to a class I was told was the correct one. When I got to the class, the teacher would not let me in as I was late. I then waited for the next class to start which I was told was a different class and the correct one - after sitting through this and understanding nothing, I was told I was in a B2 class (I am A1) and I had been told the wrong room number. The next day I was told I was put in the correct class at the end of A1/start of A2 and found myself in a class which had just began learning Spanish and was in their second day. The rest of my experience at this school was equally as frustrating as these first few days.I think most disappointing of all was the accommodation which was incredibly overpriced considering the poor condition of the place. Almost 40 degree heat and not supplying/allowing any fans made the rooms unbearably hot, while the kitchen was almost bare with a broken kettle and a few old utensils. This would’ve been fine if the accommodation was cheap, but considering the price this was a joke.To their credit, all of the teachers seemed really lovely and I think were doing the best they could within the bounds of the school. But the lack of textbook and random photocopies made the lessons seem unstructured and directionless, especially with teachers often changing and repeating lessons. I think if I had not come to this school after learning Spanish in a great school beforehand (Inhispania in Madrid which I would really recommend!) I would have been put off learning the language all together.I would really recommend doing your research and going elsewhere as this school was so disappointing.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I enrolled for 1 month of beginner Spanish classes at Lingua School in Valencia. It was a terrible experience. I will outline why in this review.Keep in mind that I am a beginner, so perhaps the classes are better for those in intermediate/advanced. However, based on my experience (and after speaking to others who chose a different Spanish school) I do not recommend Lingua School. It was a complete waste of money and time. The school boasts that it provides all learning materials - the 'learning materials' are random photocopies. There is no order or logic to what they teach. For an absolute beginner, there needs to be some explanation or way of communicating what is being taught. Everything is taught in Spanish - this includes all photocopies. On my first day of class, I asked how I was supposed to understand anything. The teacher seemed sympathetic but simply told me to Google it and that it is the school's policy to provide everything in Spanish only (she did explain this in English but it seemed like she would get in trouble for saying a single work in any language other than English).Internet issues - as far as I know, the school did not allow students to connect to the Wifi. Most of the classrooms had limited to no reception so Googling what the teacher was saying was usually impossible. This on top of the frustration of trying to follow what was being taught and not understanding a word.Additionally, some of the classrooms have screens and a computer for the teacher to use. I think they say something like 'top line teaching equipment'. Half of the time the screens didn't work and frequently the internet didn't work.We switched classrooms regularly and some of them didn't have enough space, let alone chairs to fit everyone. Other times there were giant beams/posts in the way so several students couldn't see the white board.Whiteboard markers often didn't work. The rooms were often freezing (and I imagine in the summer they would be boiling hot). The staff were pleasant when signing up but several of them were rude during several interactions after I had paid. One of them told me I should check myself where my classroom was located. When I explained to her that I had checked and went to that classroom but it was the wrong class she begrudgingly looked up where I should be. She then realized there was a last minute switch in classrooms. She didn't apologize. I was late for class, not that I learned anything in the class anyways. There was no logical order and clearly no plan provided by the school. I met others in Valencia who chose different schools. They explained that they were provided with workbooks and clearly laid out lessons. I strongly suggest that you research other schools in Valencia and do not waste your time with Lingua School. On Day 3 of class, I asked how to pronounce some of the letters in Spanish. You may think that this seems like a Day 1 or 2 lesson. The teacher seemed surprised that I wanted to learn how to pronounce the letters of the alphabet. We were taught a lot of verb conjugation which I understand (based on my own research) is very important in Spanish. However, we learned a lot of exceptions before being taught basic rules. The school does not follow any basic principles of learning or teaching. It also seems that they treat their staff and teachers very poorly. I think that my teacher did the best she could within the bounds of the school rules.Ultimately, I ended up doing additional reading and listening to some podcasts to try to help with the learning process.I did request a refund from the school which they refused. When I tried to cancel some classes or change times of classes (which I was told would be extremely easy when I was signing up) it was impossible. I was also told that I had to cancel classes 2 days in advance.

I attended the Valencia school for 2 weeks last June. The school is in a great location near the universities and close to downtown. The building and classrooms are comfortable. Most importantly the teaching is fabulous. I am an advanced student and prefer classes that are reasonably unstructured so the group can take the basic lesson plan and go where they want. The teachers are superb instructors, have a good sense of humor, and are really dedicated to their craft. I especially enjoyed the 1 on 1 sessions. The Lingua Valencia school is a place where you can really learn to speak Spanish.

I attended one-month Spanish course in Valencia on summer 2012 and I've reached the level B1! Teachers are highly capable and nice and funny at the same time. The teaching method and courses are well organized. The school is in a new beautiful and coloured building. There are always extra activities to do (dance, excursions, games at the beach, etc.). I had a great experience that I would like to repeat!

I spend one month taking class at linguaschools in Valencia. It was the most amazing time. The people I've met, the fun teachers at school and the activities they plan every day made it a great experience. I came there by myself, but never felt alone for one second. I would really recommend Linguaschools!!

I have spent three weeks at linguaschools Valencia during the summer of 2016. I had a really good experience with this school. The teachers were very enthusiastic and the classes were given in small groups (max 10 persons, often less). The staff is super flexible and helpful. The school is located in the student area of Valencia and close to the city centre (+good public transport connection) . Their accommodations are simple, but clean and provided with everything you need (good kitchen+equipment, washing machine, wifi, etc). My Spanish improved a lot during the three weeks I've spent there and I had an amazing time! I would highly recommend Linguaschools to others, especially because of their price/value rate.
