Albergue Verde
Now THIS is what an albergue should be like. Holy c*ap, I almost stayed there to volunteer even though it would have meant trading the rest of my Camino for it.To eatablish my credentials, I am currently in my fourth camino and this place is truly something special. Not ONE bad thing about it.Free yoga classes to relax after a long day. A plethora of hammocks, three small weiner-dogs and communal dinner directly from the garden. All tied up with a serenade of guitar-playing and singing by the hospitaleros before dinner, blessings and wonderful tea which I’m sure is homegrown as well. Last but not least, every hospitalero has a calming presence and make you feel like you just stepped into your grandmas house.

Albergue Verde
When I passed by the village Hospital de Obrigo in 2019 I said myself that I will stay there overnight should I ever hike the Camino again.So did I when I hiked the trail in 2023. I was lucky enough to find a bed in the Albergue Verde. The Albergue Verde is one of the two Albergues, which stood out positively during this year's Camino hike. They use the vegetables from the own garden. The hosts take care of the premises and guests. The house and garden is very well looked after. When I stayed at the Albergue, I was lucky enough to be spoiled with vegan food, which I particularly appreciated. They prepared a hummus that was unlike I ever tasted before.It is the passion for being hosts and their will to spoil us pilgrims that make the Albergue Verde such an outstanding and special place. If you want to experience a special stay, go to the Albergue Verde! It's an absolute no brainer to spend time there and with the team managing the Albergue.

Such a great place, concept and people! A warm welcome, relaxing massage, free herbal tea produced by the community, comfortable beds, separated shower for men and women and much more. Special thanks for the homemade delicious dinner with their own grown vegetables and the exceptional breakfast with homemade jams and fresh sourdough bread. Every detail of this albergue contributed to recover from the hike in a rainy day and replenish with energy to start the next day. Thank you very much the team!

Probably my best Camino experience so far. Relaxing back garden with frolicking pet-able sausage dogs, hammocks, fruit trees, large custom built yoga room (with yoga classes provided donativo), amazing staff cooking a first class vegan/vegetarian dinner, clean and well cared for dorms and a donativo breakfast. Good vibes all around. They didn’t turn on the bedroom lights in the morning but let everyone sleep until sunrise (8am) if they so wanted. I feel relaxed and ready to keep going on my journey to Santiago (although this place beckons me to stay).

Fantastic place with lovely people. Massages, yoga, vegetarian food, awareness and love… Pure love. The real essence and healthy experience in the Camino.Lugar fantastico con gente adorable. It's 5 minutes out of town but worth the extra distance. Lovely little Albergue, friendly, clean and good food served.There is the option to do yoga in the evening if you want and the evening meal and breakfast are both vegetarian are available for a donation.Definitely worth staying here if on the Camino.

This place is VIBES. ⭐️❤️ I really loved it. Got one of the most delicious food in the 800+km journey. Lovely place!The only thing I didn’t like was the staff mega noisy party until late night, but I kind of didn’t care because they are such cool people. Lol

Probably the most friendly, genuine and kind people on the Camino Frances (from St Jean to Finisterre).Great communal dinner, with the best dessert I had on the Camino since we celebrated fellow pilgrim little Albert's 8y bday with a proper chocolate cake!Amazing spiritual singing bowl/sound bath session led by one of the hospitaleros, facilitating for an interdimensional spiritual journey in the beautiful rotunda activity space.Finally the hospitaleros were so kind, as they heard I was sick and carried a cough, they offered me to sleepin late and even extend my stay. Most commercial albergues would strictly rush us and kick us out in the morning. No wonder those who've done multiple caminos keep returning to this haven!

Wow, wow, wow!!! What a beautiful Albergue. Eco-friendly and offering vegan food options. Home-made and prepared with a lot of love, the people who work there are amazing! My faith in humanity has nearly restored ;)On top of the food and the lovely rooms, they have a garden with hammocks and three gorgeous dogs. The dogs are so friendly and sweet. I felt the need to cuddle and hug....In the evenings they provide Yoga classes for free...Thank you kindly!
