As a first time home buyer, and a recent arrival in Galicia, I can honestly say the entire process would have overwhelmed and frustrated me if I hadn't begun by approaching their service first. I had, perhaps naively, given myself a window of three months to find a property ready to move into. Thanks to GGSPR I had the keys to a new home exactly two months after the day I first met with them. Their knowledge of the region, as well as their network of other agents, surveyors, and legal professionals, saved me a lot of time that would have been wasted on visiting properties that were unsuited for my needs, not ready to be moved into, or not truly built as primary residences. They supported me through the search, the legal process and the decision making. Even if you are fluent in Spanish and have experience with real estate, there are so many local quirks to learn about and navigate through. Save yourself the time and the effort and let an expert do what they are best at.

(Not just Google!)Longer Version: The Houston Consulate required a minimum 3-month lease and an extreme amount of documentation from the landlord.
