Delta Language School Santander

My son age 16 travelled from Dublin Ireland and attended the Delta Language School in Santander for 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed his experience there. He found the school excellent and his Spanish improved greatly. The school also arranged some sight seeing/educational trips etc. which were very enjoyable. Management at the school were totally hands on and and went to great trouble to ensure he had a great stay and were very attentive to his needs and safety outside of school time. The host family arranged for him by the school were lovely and he said it really was like a home away from home. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Delta Language School to other parents and students and Santander is a great location, overall on both an educational and a personal level everything was excellent.

I can highly recommend this language school. The teachers are absolutely lovely and care for each of their students. The school is very intimate and none of the students are overlooked. I also had a chance to take a couple of surfing classes which were super nice.Labai rekomenduoju! :)

I did 6 hours of private lessons here every day for 4 days in august 2023. Organising the lessons by email was very easy without receiving cut/paste responses as you do from so many schools. All was agreed quickly and I wired the money.The lessons all happened as scheduled. The teachers are all great and enjoy what they do. The school is well situated in the middle of SantanderI would recommend and Santander a great temperature in august unlike the inferno of Madrid. Buena suerte!

I spent 9 weeks learning Spanish at Delta Language School and am so happy I ended up choosing this school. I feel like I have learned a lot in a pretty short period thanks to the wonderful professors at this school. I had been researching schools all over Spain before I settled on this gem in Santander. The reasons why I went with DLS are: great student reviews, small class sizes, VERY competitive prices, good location for both those interested in surfing (it has consistent swells and good surf spots that get swells from all different directions - the surf easily beats Southern California) and good hiking (Picos de Europa has some world-class trails), picturesque beaches, and the fact that they speak true Castilian Spanish in Santander compared to many other regions in Spain.The teachers are incredible! They will tailor the teaching to your needs and students are welcome to be part of this plan and give feedback on what they feel that they need. I had two different teachers switch off teaching and that way I got two different teaching styles and got used to two different people speak Spanish. Not only were they good professors but they made me feel comfortable, and that way I was not afraid to make mistakes, which let me talk more and aided my learning.The teachers and secretary are some of the kindest people I have ever had the good fortune to come across! For example, the first day one of my teachers spent a good 40 minutes to show me where to buy the bus-card and also figure out the bus system. There is a real cinema at school with thousands of movies so you can enjoy watching movies in Spanish, with or without subtitles if you want. The library at DLS is well stocked and great for studying. There are also social activities such as going out for tapas or they take the students to museums etc.I traveled around Spain and was most impressed with northern Spain. The food is phenomenal, the nature is incredible, and the city is pretty great and very easy to get around with the public transportation. Santander is a good sized city that has everything you’d want and if you want to learn Spanish I highly recommend Delta Language School. No need to look further.

Delta Language School is a great place to learn Spanish in the beautiful city of Santander. The school has everything you need to meet your learning needs, including a cinema and library.The prices are very reasonable compared to similar institutes and the teaching is of very high quality. My teachers were very helpful and attentive. They created an open atmosphere of conversation in everyday situations, Spanish lessons and debates at school to discuss all kinds of topics: Spanish culture, politics, cinema, philosophy, music, etc.The visits to the internal cinema were the cherry on top of the cake for me, I loved watching Spanish films there with Antonio and my classmates. The discussions that followed were always interesting (sometimes they continued in a bar, tasting tapas) and helped us a lot to improve our fluency.I highly recommend it to any Spanish student.

We spent 4 weeks learning Spanish at Delta Language School and had a fantastic experience.Estela is a thorough and methodical teacher and her many years of experience are evident. She has a passion not just for teaching , but also for Spanish culture, history and way of life; and she weaves this knowledge into her lessons. So, not only did we come away with a far greater comprehension of - and ability to speak - Spanish and a much broader vocabulary, we have a richer understanding of Spanish history and culture - particularly of Cantabria and the northern regions.Carmen manages the day-to-day operations of Delta Language School - and so much more! She is not just the face that greets you on your nervous 1st day, she is the heart and soul of the School. Carmen ensures that you are not only getting the most of your time in class but that you are getting the best of your time in Sandanter! Delta school is very opening . It helps people who have any level of spanish speaking abilities. My teachers have been very kind and helpful in all my clases, aswell as my classmates who are very easy to get to know and talk to in class too. Ive also had many other experiences in the city through Delta school, such as day trips, eating out or surfing. The school has a library filled to the brim aswell as a cinema to watch spanish movies in from an extremely large collection. I can definetely say Delta school has greatly improved my spanish abilities including grammar and even spanish slang which helped me talk to all the locals. The school is very well located in the city centre too, with many accesible shops, restaurants and attractions nearby. If I got the chance to come here again, I definitely would.

Delta language school is the perfect school for those who want to learn Spanish and get to know the customs of Spain. I can't imagine entering the sixth year without taking this course. In just 2 weeks, my ability and literacy in Spanish has increased phenomenally. All staff members are friendly, helpful and patient, key factors in helping each member of the class. In my first week I completely recapped my verbs with Estrella and Jana, who explained everything to me in a simple and effective way, and also had fun doing some activities. Then I went to a class with lots of new people and new teachers from all over the world where we did all-inclusive activities and laughed a lot. Antonio showed me and my friend his cinema downstairs, and offered to let us watch some Spanish movies with our friends, it was so much fun to be able to do something like that and I'm glad we did. Overall, I am very grateful to have had this experience and cannot help but recommend it to others as it is an absolute cornerstone in the process of learning Spanish, not to mention the surf trips provided and restaurant visits that allow me to still socialize. plus with other people from all over the world they also try to practice and learn Spanish, which is something I've always wanted to do without the language barrier, and this course has allowed me to do that. If I ever get a chance to do this again, I won't think twice.

I have been at Delta Language School for 4 weeks during August 2023 and I am amazed at how much my Spanish has advanced. The school is quite small which I personally found to be a great advantage as it allows more personal and friendly relationships to form with other classmates and teachers as everybody knows everybody. The classes were a perfect balance between grammar rules and conversation; I think that reading, listening and even writing are all skills that can be practiced at home, therefore I found it so useful that there was such an emphasis on speaking during the classes with teachers that would correct any errors. Aside from the classes, the teachers and staff at the school were all so lovely and helpful, they are all amazing at their job and you can really see they love what they do. Aside from school, the city of Santander is incredible, by far my favorite place in Spain now. The locals all speak Castellano Spanish (the type of Spanish most people will learn in school) making it so much easier to understand when out and about, the weather is perfect (especially in August) as it is not too hot, not too cold, and there are plenty of beaches nearby to relax during the afternoons and weekends. I highy reccomend coming here!

The Delta Spanish school offers courses of all levels with a high degree of effectiveness and professionalism. After having received group and private Spanish classes for four weeks, I now feel much more confident when it comes to communicating.The school’s modern facilities are very comfortable and welcoming, and the teaching resources are perfect; it is worth noting the magnificent library and the authentic cinema that can be used outside of class hours. All of it helped us a lot to improve our Spanish language.In addition, the teachers make sure that we get to know Spanish culture and customs, and encourage us to participate in social activities, so you can put into practice what you have learned in the classroom.I am very happy to recommend this school and also the beautiful and hospitable city of Santander.
