Hotel Intur Palacio San Martín

First, staff MUST be separated from the hotel because they were kind, helpful, highly apologetic, and embarrassed. We have zero criticism with regard to the staff, which explains my giving Service" a full five stars.If you want to stay spot-on the busy part of Madrid

Un hotel con historia, céntrico y bien equipado.Como en todos los edificios de interés cultural, es importante entender que estructuralmente hay puntos positivos y negativos (elegir una habitación en la planta baja puede no ser una buena opción).Buena atención, limpieza y excelente ubicación.

Mi estancia en este hotel fue verdaderamente memorable. Desde la recepción, donde el personal fue increíblemente amable y atento, hasta el bar, donde disfruté de la hospitalidad y profesionalismo de su equipo, cada detalle contribuyó a una experiencia inolvidable. La limpieza, la ubicación y el servicio en general superaron mis expectativas. ¡Sin duda volveré!

Our stay at Hotel Intur Palacio San Martin was absolutely fantastic. The staff there were amazing, always friendly and ready to assist. As soon as you step into the hotel, you’re greeted by this incredible scent that’s unlike anything else. It sets the mood for a wonderful experience.Our room was spacious, modern, and incredibly clean. We really appreciated the attention to detail. Checking in and out was a breeze; their staff is super efficient.One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It’s in a great area where you can easily walk to many attractions. It made exploring the city so convenient.In a nutshell, we can’t recommend Hotel Intur Palacio San Martin enough. It went above and beyond our expectations in terms of comfort and service. The room we stayed in was spacious and beautiful, however the air conditioning didn't seem to be working well. During our stay, the temperature was extremely high (sometimes in the 40s Celsius / 100s Fahrenheit), but the room only barely cooled. We had to prop up our own handheld fans and train them on ourselves in order to be able to sleep at night.The hotel is in a great location, the beds are comfortable and the staff is mostly friendly so I would still recommend the hotel, but perhaps not at the peak of the summer heat.

Ubicación muy buena, servicio y atención al nivel de lo esperado en un 4 ⭐. Tenía habitación económica con desayuno. La habitación está muy bien por el precio que tiene, amplia, cama y almohada cómodas y todo lo necesario para una buena estancia. Por ponerle un pero, necesita una capa de pintura para quitar alguna humedad a la vista (se entiende siendo planta baja). De todos modos se ve cuidada y en muy buen estado a excepción de ese pequeño detalle.En la próxima cogeré otra habitación (como bien me recomendaron) para acabar de ponerle 5 estrellas en todo.

Excellent location within walking distance to see all attractions, we decoded not to use hop on hop off. The service is very nice and attentive. Rooms are spacious, clean, complimentary shaving kit and teeth brushing kit. The only minus is that you need to gold the button when using the hairdryer.

Breakfast was not great. Lots of options but subpar at best. Fruit wasn't ripe. Pastries was a hit and miss, meat was a huge disappointment, eggs didn't taste right. We ate at the restaurant and that's was superb. Rooms were great. For those Americans two full beds instead of a king bed. Location was great

The location of the hotel is good. Unfortunately, that’s about it in terms of what’s good for this hotel. The rooms are extremely noisy, you can listen to people talking from other rooms and the hallway. The AC doesn’t work properly. You can listen to music coming from the outside. Would not recommend.

The hotel room was ok but not a 4-star room. We had economy room, but we kind of expected more as we wished to have a nice room for our special trip (or at least a comment from the hotel that these standard rooms are rather dark and might have some issues so might be good idea to re-think as we booked many months ahead). Room had really small window but no view: some sort of narrow corner and wall in front of the window. Air in the room was not fresh but air conditioning helped.Bathroom and shower were modern, clean and nice (best part of the room), but bathroom door was very difficult to use as it got badly stuck to bathroom floor when it was opened. Really bad experience, as that door is often used and should be easily usable.Furniture was rather old. Luckily the bed was ok even though it was less than 160cm wide (size just like in the room description).Breakfast was good. As usual, there were bread, ham, cheese etc., but there were also many different sorts of fruits cutted into pieces which was nice as you could take a small amount of, for example, fresh orange. You could also order some dishes (such as fried eggs) and those were prepared just for you - fresh and nice.Also the location is nice as hotel is located near attractions, Gran Via and metro stations, but still is in quiet environment.
