Cool disused quarry to explore. Park outside the rocky path as others have suggested and it’s only a 5-10 minute walk. It’s nice how the birds and greenery have taken over! It’s not too big once you’re there, but interesting nevertheless.

Un espectáculo perdido en el tiempo y en medio de un barranco cerca de Alaior.Antigua cantera de marés.No es un lugar accesible porque no tiene mantenimiento, pero si vas no lo ensucies, es un enclave maravilloso y merece la pena mantenerlo limpio y bien.Impacta por ser un paisaje desolador entre piedra e higueras.

Visita sorprendente e inesperada. Cantera al aire libre, se visita en unos 15 minutos. Dejad el coche a la entrada e id caminando el siguiente tramo. Tiene una altura considerable. Nos gustó visitarla. La entrada es libre.

Absolutely beautiful place. The birds have made an incredible home there, definitely worth seeing. If you’re coming by car don’t attempt to get into the road leading into the entrance, it is extremely rocky. Park further out and walk.

Me gustó y sorprendió mucho el lugar. Habíamos visto ya otras canteras y creíamos que esta sería pequeña pero para nada, es una pasada y muy fácil acceder a ella. Recomendable.

Hay que caminar unos 100 metros desde la carretera para llegar a la antigua cantera, a no ser que vayas en 4x4. Impresionantes vistas.

A sólo 5 minutos de Alaior (en coche)está cantera de piedra es un precioso lugar para ir con niños,en plena naturaleza con bonitos paisajes y muy tranquilo.Perfecto entorno para traer una tortilla o unos bocadillos y disfrutarlo sentados en la hierba.

Excelente espacio para visitar y pasear con historia. Antigua cantera muy bien cuidada y de interés turístico.

A disused quarry would not normally be on my list of things to see but our friends suggested this and I was glad I made the detour en route to Ciudadella. The towering cliffs appear to de man made having served as a quarry for “duromares” (stone used for flooring) for many years. Entry is by a wide path between towering walls reminiscent of an Indiana Jones movie and you then follow a path through the quarry and admire the walls and now overgrown quarry floor. Access is by a short stony track off the road but there is room on the road to park a few cars and a 200 metre walk up the stony track.

Another human made spot, which shows the power of nature by taking places back. Just beautiful.
