Boutique Hotel Cortijo El Sarmiento

We don't ordinarily post review's, but have to on this occasion.We have been coming to this tranquil retreat for over 5 years and Yyvonne and Carsten have made so many improvements and nothing is too much trouble, very special people.We would have no hesitation in recommending this well run establishment to anyone who is looking for that place where you are made to feel at home.

Una estancia de 5 estrellas. Hemos pasado varios días en el Cortijo Sarmiento y solo podemos hablar maravillas de este alojamiento. Además del relax y la tranquilidad que te transmite y que el propio espacio es una maravilla, el servicio y la atención es de 10. Yvonne y Carsten son unos magnificos anfitriones, muy amables y detallistas y siempre van a hacer que tu estancia sea la mejor posible. Te hacen recomendaciones de restaurantes, playas y destinos por la zona. Las habitaciones están muy bien, amplias y camas grandes y cómodas. La zona de la piscina es espectacular, para disfrutar y relajarse a cualquier hora del día. Sin duda es un sitio para repetir, lo vamos a echar de menos (y también a los 4 gatos que andan por allí).

FABULOSO!!!Una experiencia única e inolvidable. Si quieres un lugar mágico donde desconectar totalmente y con un trato exquisito este es el lugar.Yvonney Castern nos han hecho pasar una estancia maravillosa.Recomendaciones para saber dónde degustar los mejores manjares, ayuda con las reservas,las mejores calas escondidas ,ellos saben donde está todo y lo mejor. Un desayuno inmejorable y completísimo,los Huevos y el bacon hechos en el momento por las manos de Castern en el punto justo que tú quieras,fruta,pan de diferentes tipos,yogurt,cereales,tomate ,mantequilla ,aceite,dulces recien hechos,ricos embutidos... Una locura! Y que decir de la cena Groumet fantastica con un original chef Holandés con un buen maridaje. La cena con el resto de huespedes e Yvonne y Castern fue maravillosa. Son unos fantasticos anfitriones. La verdad es que es una suerte contar con Yvonne como Sommelier y su bonita bodega en el Honesty Bar de la piscina. Además en el Honesty Bar te puedes preparar un rico café Nespresso, un poquito de fruta en la piscina ,o algún helado o snak durante las 24 horas. De tarde un gintonic en el mejor lugar para ver el atardecer con las vistas maravillosas desde la piscina.Las toallas para la piscina,el capazo para llevar las toallas,los vasos térmicos para tener el agua fría en todo momento. Y algo que me llano la atencion es que el agua de la piscina sea salada Tratada por lo tanto se evitan alergias, irritaciones ,rojeces y el cabello tampoco sufre.No les falta detalle. La habitacion estupenda y preciosa.Ni un ruido más que el sonido del viento en las palmeras y árboles. Rincones para leer en cualquier sitio del cortijo con su sombrita y al lado de una fuente...Cero saturacion de gente ya que son muy poquitas habitaciones.En resumen, Volveremos, y totalmente recomendable.Gracias a Yvonne y Castern por hacer que nuestra estancia fuera tan especial y cómoda.

A charming and peaceful small hotel with a delightful swimming pool set in well tended gardens and overlooking open countryside and mountains. Tastefully appointed bedroom with very comfortable bed, effective a/c and deep walk in shower. All areas kept beautifully clean by friendly housekeeper. Lovely breakfasts with fresh, tasty ingredients. We will definitely return.

What an amazing gem just off the beaten track. The perfect hotel with breathtaking views. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is the ideal place. The rooms are spotless and clean. Yvonne & Carsten are the perfect hosts. Their Andalusian tasting night was the best we have ever had. We will definitely be returning. Well worth the visit.

Un lugar encantador, muy relajado, un ambiente excelente, tranquilo y muy acogedor, gracias a los anfitriones, Yvonne y Carsten.Una experiencia muy recomendable, y más si contamos los desayunos y las cenas gourmet ocasionales, que fueron toda una sorpresa muy agradable.Seguro que volveremos. This is an outstanding place to stay. Beautiful in every way.. Relaxing pool area with views over the Andalusian hills. Tastefully decorated rooms, that are spotless.Yvonne and Carstan are very friendly and helpful , nothing was too much trouble for them . Great choice for breakfast, in gorgeous surroundings.Close to Mojacar old town with its lovely cobbled streets and great restaurants or Mojacar Playas with the beach bars and expanse of coastline.Would definitely look to visit again as this small boutique hotel provides a relaxing base to recharge and explore the area.

What a beautiful place! We had a perfect 4 night stay here in October. Yvonne and Carston were lovely hosts. The whole place is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The breakfasts, scenery, pool etc cannot be faulted. We enjoyed a communal dinner on the Saturday night and it was a great experience. I have had many hotel stays and this is up there with the best. I have recommended it and would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay with Yvonne and Carsten. Their hotel is in a beautiful setting in the foothills of Tabernas Desert near Mojácar, and they were the kindest hosts. A highlight was having dinner outside on the terrace with the other guests on our second night, starting with an Andalusian aperitif as the sun was setting. Yvonne and Carsten know everything about the area - we went to a wonderful snorkelling beach and we'll be back for desert hiking in cooler weather! We also loved relaxing by the pool, the lovely breakfasts with fresh fruit, and the honesty bar. A perfect short break - thank you Yvonne and Carsten!

This is the place in Mojácar for a relaxing holidays for adults.A wonderful place with breath taking views, delicious breakfast and very confortable rooms.And not to forget, Yvonne and Carsten are the best ambassador’s of this area, their recommendations are a mine of gold.Thank you for a wonderful holidays!
