Stayed here several times and it's location, food and local bird watching is one of the best in Spain. I can see reports that it is closed. I'm really saddened to read this and hope that the lovely people who own this will be back again one day soon. I hope they are all OK and can bring back the joy again to us all.

If you want the lamb you have to order it in the morning for that evening, we arrived in the afternoon which was too late to order it. The sites are tight and there were lots of weeds. Facilities were clean but basic. The receptionist was very kind and the campsite is right next to a lovely town. Also there were dead trees on some of the sites and a big gust of wind blew a big branch off one of them and nearly hit us on the head.

Pequeño camping situado a los pies del Castillo, coqueto, sombreado y con setos de separación. Fácil acceso. Baños superlimpios. Tiene un pequeño super con lo básico y bar. A destacar la amabilidad del propietario que te indica que visitar y rutas alrededor.

Paramos dos veces de paso (ida y vuelta) y la verdad es que nos gustó mucho. Simple, no demasiado grande, no ruidoso, personal simpático. Volveremos.

This place is great. Besides campsites they also have a few private rooms and four 2-bedroom bungalows up in the hillside. The bungalows have kitchens. The owners of the property are beyond nice. They will bend over backward to help you in any way they can. My wife needed medical care so Roberto took us to the clinic in town, then waited while we also went to the pharmacy, grocery, and ATM.BTW, they do a leg of lamb roasted over an open wood fire. It's a 2-person meal. If they offer it the night you are here, do it. The lamb is the best I have ever eaten!

We chose this site as a result of the reviews and we weren't let down. We only stayed one night as traveling to meet friends. We were met by the owners who were very friendly and even with the language barrier keen to engage. The site is rustic, but that's how we like it. Very clean toilets and amazing showers.The site is placed very close to the town - just a short walk away. The area is full if history with a ruin on top of a hill above the town. A very beatific place abd a real shame we could not explore more. Would definitely visit again.

Without any problems, cheap, spacious, nice lady, good ground, has a gameroom, you can buy drinks, working showers with hot water and a beautiful village to be inside: Just a very great Campsite!

Íbamos de paso y nos quedamos 2 días.Los dueños son gente muy amable y atenta. Te lo ponen todo fácil. Se está como en casa.El camping es muy tranquilo, con parcelas bien delimitadas por setos y otros árboles. Bien iluminado. Los aseos muy limpios. Agua caliente. Mucha tranquilidad. Muy económico. Muy bonito el pueblo de Castrojeriz y los alrededores. Está a mano con Burgos. Yo, lo recomiendo.

Hemos estado un par de veces alojados en este camping y hemos estado de maravilla, las instalaciones están muy bien y limpias y el personal te trata de maravilla.También hemos probado el cordero lechal que hacen al horno que está buenísimo y como otras veces que lo hemos comido estaba espectacular y que decir del trato que nos dieron los dueños, estupendo, como siempre. Nos sentimos como en casa cada vez que vamos una pena que nos pille tan lejos sino nos veríamos más a menudo. Un saludo desde tierras Alicantinas.

Closed, unfortunately.We camped here two years ago, and enjoyed it and the pizza resto up the hill.Turned up there yesterday to find it was closed, and ended up camping in Tordesillas, which was very good.Hope they re-open.
