In een dorp aan de Costa Brava was ons appartement met zicht op zee aan een grondige renovatie toe. Om deze ingrijpende werken uit te voeren, kozen we voor Zest Architecture. Vanuit België konden we de evolutie van de renovatie volgen. Een fijne samenwerking met Co en haar team zorgde voor een prachtig resultaat en dit binnen de vooropgestelde termijn. Creating the house of our imagination on a Spanish mountain was never going to be easy. Off-grid and remote, in an area of incredible beauty, at time nature herself seemed to conspire against us, not to mention the planners and builders. To match the spirit of the landscape, respect the environment and retain the essential charm of an ancient ruined farmhouse we turned to Zest Architecture and Co Govers. After guiding us through the many obstacles, the end is now fast approaching as doors and windows appear and the once abandoned shell becomes a home. A true fusion of the ancient and modern, Mas de la Real, combines the latest in up-to-date living with a sense of history and place and the indefinable style of a master of her craft.

We worked extensively with Zest Architecture on a complete overhaul of our attic apartment in central Barcelona Co and we couldn't have been happier with all the help we received. Renovation projects tend to span a long period and though creative and exciting in many ways, they also involve arduous and difficult periods where design, building, administrative aspects - or even recalcitrant neighbours - can prove to be challenging. Throughout the process Co Govers and Maria Matamala were delightful to work with and had the right combination of creativity and professionalism. As we live elsewhere, they managed the whole construction project for us long distance and were very attentive to detail and always replied quickly with any questions we had.
