Elegir Canterbury para hacer mi curso de TEFL fue todo un acierto. El personal no pudo portarse mejor y todo lo que me enseñaron me ha resultado muy útil. Aprendí mucho sobre como tratar con adultos, niños y gente de empresas. Pero lo mejor de todo es que las horas de prácticas finales se convirtieron en horas de trabajo para el resto del curso académico y de esta manera empecé a trabajar de manera inmediata. Ninguna academia en Madrid hace esto y por esta razón considero que Canterbury es la mejor opción para tener trabajo justo al acabar el curso TEFL.

I participated in the TEFL program in Madrid in 2012. I met incredible classmates from the US, UK, and Canada and had plenty of opportunity to explore the unforgettable city of Madrid. After my course, I was lucky enough to be offered a job at Canterbury's English Adventures Summer Camp where I worked for the remaining summer months after my TEFL certification class. I had an amazing time, both with my colleagues at the camp and the campers themselves. Canterbury even helped me to find some of my first private students when I returned to Madrid after camp. I highly recommend this TEFL course to anyone hoping to explore Spain for a summer or hoping to get a foot in the door to live in Spain teaching full time.

Dear students, let me share with you my amazing experience of Madrid and Canterbury TEFL. Madrid itself is a fascinating place, with many wonderful art galleries, museums, parks, great cafes, also a wonderful history. There are many street processions, festivals, even people in fancy dress, and a strange cinema where you can see films with Spanish subtitles. All this is aside from the usual things in capital cities, such as shops, theatres, opera, and more Spanish cinema without subtitles.Now to a particularly special part of Madrid, Canterbury TEFL. This is a VERY important experience for those of us who aspire to teach TEFL. On the Canterbury TEFL course, you will meet John Bouse, a person who is an expert in grammar, and can tell you everything about the English language which you always needed to know, although you never knew who to ask. My eyes were opened on the Canterbury TEFL course, by John, so that what once seemed incomprehensible became understandable. Although I already had a CELTA, I wanted to go to Spain, so I knew that the Canterbury TEFL course was the right place to start my Spanish job search and update my TEFL skills. Since then I have met and taught many people, having finally, through John's influence, become a decent teacher, which I originally was not. Canterbury TEFL is a valuable, desirable experience for those of us who wish to teach in Spain. I highly recommend this course, their staff, and obviously Madrid itself as a place which is full of interest, even full of people who want to learn English!Spanish people often go to a bi-lingual school, but top up their English education through extra tuition like the type provided by Canterbury Consulting es. You may even come across professionals who simply wish to keep up their proficiency in English by talking to a native speaker. One of my students was a doctor, another a professional chemist. However I also tutored a number of adults working for a solar power company as well as several children, varying in age from six to sixteen. Some students are a beginner, but as always there is some understanding of English gleaned perhaps through school, even gained from a helpful parent. In Spain, children begin their languages education young. Canterbury TEFL does have a useful library of books and computerised resources which will be helpful to you as a student and potential teacher.Many times I went out to taste Madrid night life with an adult student or a fellow tutor. Canterbury TEFL is a great TEFL experience, Madrid is a fabulous place to start your TEFL career.
