Hertz Alquiler De Coches

Es la segunda vez que tengo problemas con esta empresa, simplemente son unos ESTAFADORES. Nos dieron un coche lleno de golpes, no nos avisaron así que ya la sorpresa fue desagradable. Hicimos fotos y se las enseñamos antes de salir, nos dijeron que no nos preocupáramos…. JA, cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando al devolver el coche nos querían hacer un cargo (sin previa consulta te mandan una factura) de 350 por reparación de esos daños. Como teníamos fotos nos lo tuvieron que rebajar, pero entonces se inventaron otro cargo, 50 por el daño y otros 50 por gestión del daño (hola?). Lo que no entiendo es porque si cargan tanto por la reparación y “gestión de la reparación” el coche estaba tan destrozado? Qué harán con ese dinero qué van sacando cada vez? Claramente se dedican a estafar. No alquiléis con ellos al menos que queráis sorpresas inesperadas. Casualmente con ninguna otra empresa he tenido problemas, y en este caso menos mal que por si acaso había sacado un seguro de daños a parte (no con ellos, y eso que insistieron, probablemente ese sea otro de los motivos por los que te la intentan clavar). ACTUALIZACIÓN: gracias a la intermediación del seguro externo, nos han terminado devolviendo todo el dinero retenido, una prueba más de sus intenciones de timar como puedan, y si cuela, cuela, pero esta vez, lo siento, no ha colado.

In the beginning we had an awful experience. The woman was really not collaborative with us because my name on my credit card had one letter difference than with my ID. And then after 20 minutes, 30 minutes being there and trying everything, we went back in the afternoon and then she was really collaborative. And then when we brought the car back, she was super friendly. So our experience at the end was really good. Not perfect, but we appreciate what she did for us at the end. Thank you, Iris.( little mention, always wait to look to the car together with someone working there when you bring it back and wait untill they tell you that everything is ok)

Mi experiencia con la empresa de alquiler de coches fue positiva en general. La atención al cliente fue eficiente y amigable, facilitando el proceso de alquiler. El vehículo estaba en excelente estado, limpio y bien mantenido.Muchas gracias iris!

Iris was incredibly helpful. She made the rental process as easy as possible. Be sure to check whether or not your vehicle is GPS equipped. And be sure you have the correct USB chords and adapters. The garage around back is not clearly marked from the street so take photos or commit it to memory. This adapter was provided to us by Iris, goes into the lighter in order to use your phone for navigation.

Iris is one of the best Hertz agents I've ever come across. She was very helpful, walking us to the electric car and explaining in great detail how everything worked. Work with Iris if you want a great experience

Hired a car and 6kms later we suddenly had a flat tireAs soon as we got out of the car we were distracted and robbed.That on it’s own is not hertz’s fault although in my personal opinion a little suspicious, it’s the fact that we had to wait over 5 hrs in the middle of Barcelona for Hertz to get AA to us. At one point the lady at the desk just hung up on us which was just disgraceful behaviour towards a couple of foreigners in an emergency situation.And yes, the spacesaver spare tyre had been removed for some bizarre reasonIf you hire a car from them and something happens you are on your own. BEWARE and make sure your travel insurance covers you because hertz will still bill you for all things related to the hire.My tip is just take a fast train.As an update, be aware that hertz will deduct all charges for the full rental period and damages regardless of the circumstances from your credit card and simply ignore any request for full or partial refund.We were robbed twice in Barcelona so don’t let it happen to you

SCAM OPERATIONStupidly, I only read reviews here after falling victim to the scam.Drove the car from the Hertz car park to the highly secure, country grounds of a hotel and then back 3 days later. In some altérnate reality, my car was in fact in a war zone where 6 damages were inflicted on the poor thing.Ironically, the last time I was scammed this way was when renting with Hertz at Barcelona Sants more than 2 years ago. Double irony is that it was also to make the exact same trip.It is shameful that a supposedly internationally trusted brand such as Hertz allows its Spanish operations to be managed in this way. In other reviews, you’ll find multiple similar experiences.In the two years since being scammed at Hertz Sants, I have averaged a car rental every other week. In that time, I never had a single issue. Amazingly, I am only a careless driver when renting from Hertz!Truly disgraceful.I have private insurance so not one penny of this scam will come from my pocket, but imagine this happening to a hard working person who doesn’t have private insurance and gets a €400 smack in the face after putting their trust in this company.If only one person reads this review and decides to go elsewhere because of it, that at least will be some comfort.Shame on you Hertz.

Avoid this. Its fraud and they will steal money!I have been charged an amount of 512 euro on my credit card, while k did fuel it completely and did not have any damage. I did take pictures and movies from before and after with time stamps.I did not receive any notification or alert that something was wrong and its charged without notification. I have read on your site reviews that im not the only one with this case. Please note that i will take legal actions on this scam. Im happy to pay legal costs to avoid people in the future of having same.I was already dissapointed when i was there that I needed to pay extra for an upgrade because i arrived too late. Yes its written that i need to be on time, but never in my previous thrifty or hertz rentals did i ever had that problem. This already felt as a scam as i had an option to cancel or pay an upgrade that was available. Of course only more expensive cars available. So ok, i got over that scam as it was indeed in small letters written and i wanted to start my rental. So i felt already scamed day 1.Then after return you charge me 500 euro without notifying and without explanation. I did keep fuel receipt, i did film myself fueling up a few blocks away and 10 min before return. I did film the no damage etc. So im really curious on this charge. After reading similar complaints online i do feel this is fraud.

We showed up a couple of hours later to pick up our rental after trying to call the office and sending a message to hertz. Although this message was receive it apparently wasn’t passed on. We had pre-paid for our vehicle but told that we were ‘lucky that they had not given it to someone else’.We were the first customers in, in the afternoon but the lady behind the counter, due to the computer system took 45 to sort out the details for our reservation before we could get on our way. She was friendly enough aside for her initial comment about our car being given to someone else.
